Betty Liu is the Founder and Chair of Global Holistic and Natural Healing. She is a wellness educator and lifestyle consultant dedicated to helping individuals and families build sustainable habits that support physical vitality, emotional balance, and inner resilience.
Drawing on more than five decades of lived experience across cultures—and a career spanning academia, research, and leadership—Betty brings a rare blend of compassion, rigor, and practical guidance. Her work integrates mind-body practices, evidence-informed health education, and wisdom traditions to encourage self-awareness, self-care, and responsible daily choices. She believes that well-being is not a single outcome, but a lifestyle shaped by consistent actions—one mindful step at a time.
Betty also founded the Global Holistic and Natural Healing Toastmasters International community and hosts the uplifting program “30 Minutes of Self-Love”, creating welcoming spaces for learning, growth, and connection. She is a certified hypnotherapist (U.S. professional association credential) and is pursuing doctoral-level studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Previously, Betty served as Senior Study Director at Westat (1999–2011) and held leadership roles in U.S.-based research organizations. Her major projects include a three-year national study with The George Washington University School of Medicine, a one-year U.S. Army system assessment, and nine years of customer satisfaction studies for PJM. She began her professional journey as a lecturer and graduate researcher at Fudan University, and later earned a master’s degree at Cornell University as a Fulbright Scholar.
Her mission is to share the time-honored wellness principles and healing culture of Chinese tradition, helping more people understand that lasting well-being is not achieved by “outsourcing” health—but by strengthening the body’s innate resilience and supporting it through healthy daily habits. Through balanced nutrition, regular movement, emotional well-being, and mindful thinking patterns, she empowers individuals to take an active role in their own health and become the creator of a healthier, more fulfilling life.
She also hopes more people understand that even when illness arises, the path forward is not limited to medication alone. Through more than a decade of study, exploration, and personal growth in the wellness field, she has come to value holistic, natural, and lifestyle-based approaches that support the body’s inherent capacity for recovery and resilience. She feels a responsibility to share this perspective widely: that holistic health and natural healing form the foundation of sustainable well-being, and that daily choices—nutrition, movement, emotional health, and mindset—are not “extra,” but essential.
She strongly believes:
-Holistic health and natural healing are the foundation of sustainable well-being.
-Well-being begins with daily choices that strengthen the body’s natural resilience.
